Art, architecture and engineering in harmony
Located in Montemor-o-Novo, Atelier Ai Weiwei translates the dialogue between art and architecture, where solid Douglas fir wood takes centre stage.
More than 5,000 structural pieces were produced and assembled with millimetric precision, in a process that combined advanced technology and manual labour.
The result is a work that reflects the artist’s philosophy: simplicity, authenticity and integration with nature.
